Aretha Franklin will be releasing a new collection of her work entitled Knew You Were Waiting: The Best of Aretha Franklin 1980-1998 on January 31, 2012.  The set highlights "The Queen of Soul" during her years as an Arista Records artist with Arista founder and president Clive Davis serving as executive producer of the project.  The 16-song collection includes "Love All The Hurt Away", her 1981 duet with George Benson; "Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves" with the Eurythmics' Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart; "Jumpin' Jack Flash", her duet with Keith Richards from the movie Jumpin' Jack Flash starring Whoopi Goldberg; and "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)", her number one pop hit and Grammy winning duet with George Michael.  Meanwhile, Aretha celebrated the season with her annual Christmas party at the Detroit Athletic Club on Friday night, complete with a finale of "Silent Night" with the Four Tops.
