Michael Buble And Vanessa Williams, Among Others, Supporting Haiti Relief

In the wake of last week’s Hope for Haiti Now telethon that raised more than $58 million, numerous musicians are stepping up to the plate to lend their assistance to victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Michael Buble is among those who are contributing to American Idol judge Simon Cowell’s charity single for Haiti relief. They will perform on a cover of R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts,” which will also reportedly will feature Mariah Carey, Susan Boyle, Leona Lewis, Rod Stewart, Miley Cyrus and Jon Bon Jovi, among others.

The single, expected to be available February 1, will benefit two charities in the U.K. that are assisting Haiti.

In another event, Vanessa Williams and Barry Manilow have teamed up to support an American Red Cross Haiti campaign. The two stars, along with Los Angeles Lakers players Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom,  have filmed a public service announcement for the organization to appeal for aid for the earthquake-ravaged country.

And Queen Latifah is scheduled to host a charity event for Haiti on February 5 at American Airlines Arena in Miami with Chris Brown and Justin Bieber reportedly lined up as performers. It will air on BET and MTV.
