George Benson Headlining Playboy Jazz Festival
Guitarist George Benson and the members of the Sax for Stax tour – Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum and Jeff Lorber – are among the headliners for the 2010 Playboy Jazz Festival. Now in its 32nd year, the annual festival will be held June 12-13 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Serving once again as master of ceremonies is Bill Cosby.
Among the performers are Manhattan Transfer, the Chick Corea Freedom Band, Esperanza Spalding, Marcus Miller and Jake Shimabukuro.
The day-and-night big screens from past festivals will be back, offering up-close-and-personal coverage of every artist from the first performance Saturday until the closing number Sunday.
