We Are The World Video Debuts : Song Available for Download
The new “We Are the World 25 for Haiti” video was officially unveiled on Friday (February 12) during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Canada and is now available for viewing and for purchase online at ITunes.
Quincy Jones, Lionel Richie and Wyclef Jean were the forces behind the 25th anniversary re-recording of “We Are the World,” overseen by Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich with proceeds going to those affected by the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Among the many on the video are Patti Austin, Toni Braxton, Jennifer Hudson, Jason Mraz, Natalie Cole, Carlos Santana, Jamie Foxx, Barbra Streisand, Earth, Wind and Fire, India.Arie, Robin Thicke, Harry Connick Jr., Gladys Knight, Celine Dion, and many others.
The video also features footage of the late Michael Jackson performing in the original version of “We Are the World.”
