Marvin Gaye's Lets Get It On MAkees All Time Sexiest Song List
Just in time for Valentine’s Day this Sunday (February 14), Billboard magazine has unveiled its list of the 50 Sexiest Songs of All Time. There are some interesting selections on the list – Olivia Newton John’s “Physical” is No. 1. But there’s no arguing with the No. 5 selection, Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.” The title track from his 1973 album of the same name was a No. 1 song and became Motown’s biggest hit single. Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” also made the list at No. 34.
The rest of the Top 5 includes Rod Stewart’s “Tonight’s the Night,” Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love to You” and Too Close’s “Next.”
Among other selections are Roberta Flack’s “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” Toni Braxton’s “You’re Makin’ Me High,” the Pointer Sisters’ “Slow Hand,” Gregory Abbott’s “Shake You Down,” and Labelle’s “Lady Marmalade.”
